The mission of the World Affairs Forum
is to educate members, students and the public about
international affairs and America’s role in the world. An
internship at the World Affairs Forum provides a student
with exposure to foreign cultures and international
issues, as well as small office operations.
Internships are available in the following areas:
Program Assistant
The responsibilities of
the intern will include, but are not limited to:

Helping coordinate Forum’s
speaker program

Researching potential speakers
-
Helping to manage the Forum’s education program with local
high schools & colleges
Qualifications
Political Science,
International Business & International Relations majors
welcome.
Accounting Assistant
The responsibilities of
the intern will include, but are not limited to:

Performing routine bookkeeping via Quick Books
Pro
- Assisting in managing Forum’s finances
Qualifications
Knowledge of basic
accounting/vocabulary/and Quick Books required
Membership and Marketing
The responsibilities of the intern will include, but are
not limited to:
- Assisting
the staff to build membership
- Creating
an outreach program to young professionals

Maintaining the membership database

Working
closely with the events coordinator to promote events
to potential members
Qualifications
Marketing and
Public Relations majors welcome
Web Master
The responsibilities of
the intern will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining and improving the
Forum’s website
- Troubleshooting computer
problems
Qualifications
IT majors with interest
in website development & LAN systems welcome

should have an interest in world affairs, have good
written and oral communications skills and demonstrate a
professional and responsible work attitude.
